Peace Without Legal Force: Why Pashinyan Presents a Political Imitation to the Public

In this episode, we discussed the pseudo-negotiations between Pashinyan and Aliyev carried out through journalists. The issue of the Armenians of Artsakh cannot be equated with the issue of Armenians who left Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis evacuated from Armenia. Due to an incomplete understanding of international processes, Pashinyan's behavior is often absurd: he addresses questions to Aliyev through journalists.

The current government has effectively removed the Minsk Group format from the political agenda and, even after reaching the White House, has not secured any real security guarantees. At the same time, the peace treaty still lacks legal force: it is initialed but has not been ratified by the parties.

This means that the peace agenda can be formed under a different government, and negotiations can proceed in a new direction. Pashinyan's speech in Hamburg shows that just as in 2020 his political ignorance led to war, the same danger remains in 2026.
