Armenia is not Kaluga, true — but you're not Gaddafi either.
June 17, 2025

These so-called "legal" proceedings are nothing more than an open political witch hunt. I denounce this behavior and demand that the authorities and law enforcement bodies stop violating constitutional powers and refrain from acting outside the legal framework.

My position is further reinforced by the statements of ruling party MPs and even the Prime Minister himself, who openly admit that Armenia’s law enforcement system is being used for purely political purposes — to silence Samvel Karapetyan and punish him for standing with the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The goal is clear: to weaken the most influential Armenian-centered institution — the Church — and to intimidate or persecute those who defend it by any means necessary.

And if Nikol Pashinyan reminds everyone that “this isn’t some village in Kaluga,” he would do well to remember that he himself is no Muammar Gaddafi.
