January 31, 2026

Today's episode is dedicated to the external and internal issues facing Armenia and the Armenian people. At the beginning, Edmon Marukyan's visit to Strasbourg was discussed. During a meeting with co-rapporteurs at the PACE, he voiced significant inaccuracies found in the reports being prepared. In particular, he pointed out the incorrect phrasing of state-church relations, emphasizing that an equal sign cannot be placed between an authority using repressions and the persecuted clergy.

Reference was also made to the presence of political prisoners in Armenia and the worrying state of human rights. The imposed agenda of constitutional change and the ineffective waste of state resources were also discussed.

During the episode, Robert Kocharyan's recent press conference was addressed; the realities of 2021 and the present were compared, attempting to understand why the situation is more critical today. There was talk about Robert Kocharyan's status as their prime ministerial candidate. The incident regarding leaving journalist Vahe Makaryan out of the press conference was also discussed.

At the end of the broadcast, they analyzed our joint statement, the consequences of criminal cases brought against the Church, and the upcoming visit of the US Vice President, which could be a turning point for Armenia's foreign policy course.

Within the framework of the Platform podcast, Edmon Marukyan and Karpis Pashoyan discuss the truths that they believe are as necessary as air and water for Armenia and the Armenian people, as well as the challenges facing Armenia.
