In this issue, I addressed Armenia's main environmental problem: air pollution. Specifically, I discussed the sand quarries operating near the M4 highway, from which sand is delivered to Yerevan. The plants fail to comply with established standards, forcing the Armenian people to breathe carcinogenic air while paying several million drams in taxes.
While Pashinyan is forming a commission on air pollution and traffic congestion to delay a solution to this problem for as long as possible, I call for the closure of these quarries and the redirection of sand supplies from other quarries located far from the city.
