The True Price of Silence in 2019: How Inaction Led to War in 2020
In this issue, I analyzed official documents presented by the Armenian government and the settlement package proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group, outlining possible options for resolving the Artsakh issue.
The evidence shows that, back in 2019, proposals were presented to the Armenian side that, with an appropriate political and diplomatic response, could have prevented a full-scale war in 2020. However, this process was effectively hidden from the public, and the authorities have repeatedly stated the absence of such documents. Furthermore, there is still no public report on what response was given to the Minsk Group, if any.
Today, the tragic events of October 27 and March 1 are deliberately exploited in the public agenda, turning into a tool for political manipulation and positional gain. Monetizing these issues is a way to distract attention from real responsibility.
