All three have had an impact on Armenia’s public life through their respective civic and public engagements. But one thing unites them: they all disagree with the political course pursued by Nikol Pashinyan and are victims of political persecution.
Ruben Vardanyan was abducted and imprisoned by Azerbaijan, yet Armenia had — and still has — a role to play in his defense. Nonetheless, nothing is being done. He remains detained alongside other Armenian citizens in an Azerbaijani prison. He has committed no crime.
Vardan Ghukasyan was arrested and remains in custody based on an official request from the Prosecutor General of Armenia. He has committed no crime.
Samvel Karapetyan was arrested on the direct order of Nikol Pashinyan and is being held in Armavir prison. He has committed no crime.
