In a number of European countries today elections to the European Parliament begin.
Polling stations open in the UK and the Netherlands. On Friday, Ireland and the CzechRepublic will begin voting, and on May 25, Latvia, Malta and Slovakia.
In the rest of the EU countries, elections will take place on Sunday.
