The Bright Armenia Party is recommending its version of the structure of the government, based on which the political party recommends having a Ministry of National Security. “The investigative department will be joined to the Investigative Committee,” leader of the Bright Armenia Party Edmon Marukyan said, adding that the investigative body of the State Revenue Committee also has to be joined to the Investigative Committee.
He presented the following list of the 14 ministries that the political party recommends that Armenia have:
Ministry of National Security
Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
Ministry of Healthcare
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Agriculture
Ministry of Education, Science and Sport
Ministry of Infrastructures and Territorial Development
Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Police together)
Ministry of Environmental Protection
Ministry of Defense
Ministry of Economic Development and Innovations
Ministry of Finance (State Revenue Committee is included)
Ministry for Legal Affairs (instead of the Ministry of Justice)
Marukyan emphasized that, in the case of this structure, there are no bodies that are left out of parliamentary oversight, while, in the version proposed by the government, there are such bodies, including the National Security Service, the Police, the National Statistical Service, the State Revenue Committee and more.
