Destruction of Identity and Culture: When the State Narrative Aligns with Azerbaijani Theses
In this episode, the critical internal and external political challenges facing Armenia are discussed, providing a detailed analysis of the government's newly adopted "philosophy" and its dangerous similarities to official Azerbaijani theses. Reference is made to the consistent dismantling of national identity, where the abandonment of historical justice, attempts to catalog Genocide victims, and indifference toward the preservation of cultural heritage are viewed as the erosion of the foundations of the Third Republic.
Special attention is given to new interpretations of the Artsakh issue and the narrative of labeling Artsakh Armenians as "hostages," which surprisingly parallels statements made by the neighboring country's leader over the years. The risky policy of rejecting international guarantors and mediators is also discussed, where attempts are made to devalue the institution of guarantees by providing arbitrary and incorrect interpretations of historical examples from Ukraine and Cyprus. The speakers emphasize that true peace is not a "hollow" concept or an empty promise, but a direct consequence of effective security mechanisms, a powerful army, civil defense, and flexible diplomacy.
The episode also focuses on the tactics of keeping the public in constant fear and leading through the blackmail of war, attempting to legitimize the humiliation of statehood and concessions as the only path to survival. Finally, the discussion analyzes the real alternative that would allow the country to emerge from this heavy psychological and political state, restoring dignity and sovereignty.
