The Church Endured, the State Did Not: Results of 2025 | Platform 83

This episode discusses the main political events of 2025. It addresses the authorities' decision to provide a corridor to Azerbaijan for 99 years without any compensation, which is viewed as a move made to maintain power.

The pressures exerted on the Armenian Apostolic Church throughout the year, which for about seven months did not yield the expected results, were also discussed. The Church maintained its position as one of Armenia's most established national institutions.

Parallels drawn with the Russian-Ukrainian processes were analyzed, emphasizing that even under conditions of defeat, it is possible to secure state security interests.

The conclusion is clear: 2026 will be decisive, and the only way to change the situation is a change of power through the 2026 elections.

Edmon Marukyan and Karpis Pashoyan, within the framework of the Platform podcast, discuss the truths that they believe are as essential as air and water for Armenia and the Armenian people, as well as the challenges facing Armenia.
