It became evident that they could not intimidate him with ENA or force him to renounce the Armenian Apostolic Church, our sacred values, and our identity. However, this statement has since been manipulated by the Prime Minister and other officials, claiming that Karapetyan disrespected a strategically significant enterprise. On that basis, they propose to nationalize the company—i.e., to violate the fundamental right to private property and seize it from its lawful owner.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan does not even have a competent legal advisor to explain to him that the insatiable desire to confiscate someone’s property will ultimately backfire. And even if they do seize it, it is clear that the property will eventually be returned to its rightful owner, while those responsible for the illegal expropriation will be held accountable.
